Some local mushrooms that grow in the springtime are delicious and edible. Some may make you sick and may even kill you.
If you are not used to picking wild mushrooms, have an expert identify it before consuming. Remember that many poisonous mushrooms look similar to edible ones and cooking mushrooms will not eliminate toxins.
